Our funeral plans are simple to understand, provided locally to you and start at only £1,635. A funeral plan can give you peace of mind that you have made provision for your own funeral. Your payment, apart from Ecclesiastical's administration fee, is ring-fenced in an insurance policy to pay for your funeral. Our plan covers Houghtons' own costs as listed in your plan, as long as your requirements do not change and we carry out the funeral. Each plan also includes a contribution towards third-party costs, such as crematorium fees, which are based on today's prices and are not guaranteed.

- The Unattended Funeral Plan: Our unattended cremation plan is a simple and respectful service in which the deceased is cremated without a funeral service. It is our lowest-cost cremation plan, giving flexibility, affordability and privacy.
- The Warrington Residents Funeral Plan: A simple and respectful ceremonial service where families can attend a service before cremation at Walton Lea Crematorium. Includes a hearse, coffin, chapel visits and a contribution toward the crematorium fee and minister. Our lowest-cost ceremonial option.

Who provides the plans
We are an Appointed Representative of Ecclesiastical Planning Services Limited (Reg. No. 2644860), registered in England at Benefact House, 2000 Pioneer Avenue, Gloucester Business Park, Brockworth, Gloucester, GL3 4AW, which is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Firm Reference Number 958152). The Financial Conduct Authority regulates pre-paid funeral plans only.

Is the money I pay into a funeral plan protected?
Your payment, apart from Ecclesiastical's administration fee (and any protection insurance payment on an instalment plan), is placed in an insurance policy with a regulated life assurance company. It is ring-fenced, so it can only be used to pay for your funeral. Plans are also covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, up to its compensation limit.
Does a funeral plan cover every cost?
The plan covers Houghtons' own costs as listed in your plan, as long as your requirements do not change and we carry out the funeral. It also includes a contribution towards third-party costs such as the crematorium fee and minister. Those costs are set by others and are not guaranteed, so if they rise there may be a balance to pay.
Can I cancel a funeral plan?
Yes, you can cancel at any time before a claim is made. If you cancel within 30 days of receiving your welcome booklet, the person who paid receives a full refund. After that, they receive a refund of the amount paid, less the administration fee. Please read the terms and conditions for full details.
